The Cross Match® SmartProfile SSO (Single sign-on) solution provides secure biometric user identification through client-server components, providing a centralized enrollment and authentication process. SmartProfile SSO allows access to Windows-based domains and networks using fingerprints instead of passwords. The SmartProfile SSO solution is perfect in environments where users have to manage multiple passwords. The simple and rapid enrollment process involves enrolling fingerprints in a centralized and secure system. Once enrolled, access will be granted when an authorized fingerprint is pressed on the fingerprint reader. Users will be recognized on all enterprise workstations, even in remote locations. SmartProfile SSO authenticates login attempts by comparing live fingerprints against a stored database of fingerprint templates. If the user is correctly identified, results appear immediately on screen and access to computer programs is granted. Only authorized users have access to programs and information so personal data is protected.

The Single sign-on solution allows convenient access to banking transaction sites or applications in a safe and secure way. Fingerprint authentication ensures that only authorized employees access information or make transactions. Records of all user and application events in log files are generated, providing an audit trail that can be easily accessed by the administrator.
