Cross Match Receives Further STQC Certification for India’s UID Program

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. (December 21, 2011) – Cross Match Technologies, Inc., a leading global provider of biometric identity solutions, announced today that its Patrol ID fingerprint capture device received final certification for India’s unique identification (UID) program in November.

Cross Match had previously received the Certificate of Approval for its rugged and dependable Guardian fingerprint capture device and the I SCAN dual iris capture device.

Designed for the fast growing civil enrolment market, Patrol ID is a member of the Patrol product family of ten-print scanners designed specifically for very large scale applications in civil registration for National ID, Voter Registration and similar government programs. The Patrol ID system delivers the highest quality fingerprint images even when operated under the wide and often severe range of environmental conditions that exist in India. The device was tested by the Standardization, Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate and subjected to rigorous compliance testing procedures.

Cross Match successfully met the challenge of delivering the necessary quantity of devices for this large-scale program while maintaining quality standards and ensuring full compliance with the stringent requirements of the Indian Government. Like the Guardian system which received certification in October, Patrol ID utilizes Cross Match’s patented Auto Capture feature, which quickly captures high-quality images with minimal operator involvement.
