Cross Match adds INTERPOL Submission Format to MOBS
Simplifying access to growing INTERPOL biometric database and network
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – April 10, 2013 - Cross Match Technologies, Inc., a leading global provider of biometric identity management solutions, announced today the release of an INTERPOL compliant configuration (INT-I) of its Mission Oriented Biometric Software, commonly known as MOBS.
“Cross Match solutions support a range of electronic submission formats, including FBI CJIS, U.S. DoD, U.K. IDENT-1, and others,” said John Hinmon, head of Marketing for Cross Match. “INTERPOL member country law enforcement agencies utilizing mobile or stationary platforms running MOBS can now seamlessly and electronically submit via their National Central Bureaus (NCB) to leverage the growing INTERPOL database and network.” The new MOBS configuration eliminates a more manual process previously required for submission of non-INTERPOL formatted records to the world’s largest international police organization.
MOBS is the resident identity management software on Cross Match’s multimodal, mobile biometric handhelds, such as the SEEK II and the SEEK Avenger launching later this year, and can also be utilized with stationary systems. The software allows users to streamline applicant enrollment and criminal booking procedures by predefining and setting up situational data and utilizing pre-set criteria to enroll subjects. Offered in numerous languages, including English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, and Urdu, MOBS is characterized by its intuitive and customizable user interface.
