Cross Match Receives 2011 Governor’s Award for Innovation

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. September 6, 2011 – Cross Match Technologies, Inc., a leading global provider of biometric identity solutions, has received Enterprise Florida’s 2011 Governor’s Business Diversification Award in the Innovation category. The awards recognize outstanding contributions toward improving and diversifying Florida’s economy plus distinctive community investment efforts, particularly relating to industries targeted for economic development and high wage job growth.

SEEK II combines multimodal biometric (fingerprint, iris and facial images) and demographic input capabilities in one lightweight, handheld mobile device that can connect wirelessly to military and law enforcement databases. The device is capable of matching biometric inputs against an onboard “watch-list” database, providing immediate identification and verification of persons of interest. SEEK II remains the only FBI Appendix F certified mobile handheld device on the market today.

The Governor’s Business Diversification Awards are presented in six categories; Cross Match won the Innovation award for the Mega Market category which highlights companies that, through product or process, best exemplified innovative leadership. Cross Match will be honored on September 14 during a reception in Tallahassee at the Florida Governor’s Mansion.
