The Honorable James W. Ziglar - President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Ziglar has over 40 years of experience in management, finance, law, and public policy derived from his careers in law, investment banking, government, and academia. Before joining Cross Match in August 2005, Mr. Ziglar was a Managing Director and Chief Business Strategist at UBS Financial Services, Inc. in New York. He was a member of Cross Match’s Advisory Board before becoming President and CEO of Cross Match.
Mr. Ziglar has 18 years of experience as an investment banker and 7 years as a practicing lawyer. Mr. Ziglar had over 10 years of experience with UBS prior to departing in 1998 to serve as Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate. From August 2001 until his retirement from federal service in December 2002, Mr. Ziglar served as the last Commissioner of the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Before rejoining UBS in 2004, Mr. Ziglar was Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law at The George Washington University Law School, and a Fellow at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government Institute of Politics.
In addition to his positions as Commissioner of the INS and as Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate, Mr. Ziglar has served at various times as Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Water and Science, as a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Harry A. Blackmun, as a congressional and public affairs officer at the Department of Justice, and as an aide to the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
Mr. Ziglar earned his undergraduate and law degrees from The George Washington University. He is a member of the bar in Virginia, New York, Arizona, and the District of Columbia.

Denis Aull - Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Aull is responsible for Cross Match’s operations, including Product Development, Sales, Manufacturing, and Customer Support. He joined the Company in April 2007, and is a 25 year veteran of the high tech industry with extensive experience in marketing, research and development, and corporate management.
Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager of 3Com’s Convergence Business, Intel’s Network Building-Block Division and the Internet Communication Business Unit at Lucent Technologies. Mr. Aull was also Chief Technology Officer at Telebit Corporation, and spent his early career conducting research at Bell Laboratories.
He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue University and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) respectively.

William A. Smith II - Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, Director of Corporate Development
Mr. Smith joined Cross Match in July 2005 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. In September 2006, Mr. Smith was also named Director of Corporate Development. He is responsible for Cross Match’s worldwide legal affairs including commercial transactions, general corporate, employment, litigation and intellectual property matters. Mr. Smith also provides strategic and legal advice and counsel regarding the company’s global strategies, practices and processes and, as Director of Corporate Development, is involved in the implementation of Cross Match’s global strategies.
Prior to joining Cross Match, Mr. Smith was a Partner in the Corporate and Securities practice of the international law firm, DLA Piper, where his practice focused on mergers and acquisitions for public and private company clients. He also counseled clients on other corporate and transactional matters including structuring corporations, partnerships and joint ventures, contractual relationships and general corporate law. Previously, Mr. Smith practiced law in Seoul, Korea, where he represented and counseled multinational corporations and engaged in a variety of domestic and international commercial transactions. While in law school, Mr. Smith served as a legal intern with the Committee on Ways and Means of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Mr. Smith earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from Georgetown University. He is admitted to the bar in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia and is certified by The Florida Bar as an Authorized House Counsel in the State of Florida.

Marty Weinbaum - Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Weinbaum joined Cross Match in 2006 as Vice President and Corporate Controller. In 2008, he assumed his current role of Chief Financial Officeroverseeing the company’s global finance organization.
Mr. Weinbaum has 25 years’ experience managing the global financial operations of organizations of all sizes, from small privately-held companies to large multi-million dollar public companies.
Previously, Mr. Weinbaum served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Ecometry Corporation, a publicly traded e-commerce software company. During his tenure, he was instrumental in leading a successful initial public offering and managing accounting, human resources, information technology, legal and purchasing functions.
Mr. Weinbaum also held various auditing, accounting, tax and financial reporting positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Aspen Marine Group and Stenton Leigh Capital Corporation.
A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Weinbaum graduated from Adelphi University in New York, with a BBA in Accounting.

Gerhart S. Ernst - Managing Director, Cross Match Technologies GmbH
Mr. Ernst joined Cross Match in October 2006 as Managing Director, Europe. He is responsible for the overall management of our subsidiary, Cross Match Technologies GmbH with locations in Jena and Bochum, Germany. He is also responsible for overseeing and growing Cross Match’s International business operations, including global initiatives in Europe, and the Asia Pacific area. As a key member of Cross Match’s senior management team, Mr. Ernst plays a critical role in executing Cross Match’s overall business strategy.
Mr. Ernst was with International Security Consulting Berlin (ISC Berlin), a firm which he founded to provide security consulting services to hospitality, transportation, healthcare and construction companies. Prior to forming ISC Berlin, Mr. Ernst was Managing Director of ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH, formerly IKON AG, Germany’s market leader in high end locking solutions. At ASSA ABLOY, Mr. Ernst had direct responsibility for the sales and marketing division as well as managing subsidiaries in Holland, Belgium, Austria and Switzerland. During this time, he was also a member of ASSA ABLOY’s Central European executive board. Mr. Ernst previously held senior positions in sales and marketing for Vattenfall Europe, formerly Vereinigte Energiewerke AG, one of Germany’s leading utility companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ernst held management positions in Europe and the United States for Joy Holding AG and Herlitz AG.
Mr. Ernst received a management degree from Friedrich-Leitner-School of Economics in Berlin, Germany.

Thomas Buss - Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Mr. Buss leads Cross Match’s efforts to identify and capture new and emerging business opportunities.
He has extensive experience in technical management, manufacturing, field deployment, and customer service.
He joined Cross Match in September 2000, and directed all product development and product management operations, as well as factory and customer service activities. Previously, he worked at Motorola Inc. for 26 years in management positions for several business units, including Motorola’s first R&D operation in Singapore.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois and his MBA from Nova University.

Greg Cannon - Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Biometric Solutions and Standards
Greg Cannon has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Biometric Solutions and Standards since June 2006. He joined Cross Match in May 2001 as Director of Biometric Technology.
He is responsible for the company’s global technical direction, software architecture, continued innovative commitment to biometric solutions and standards, and leads the company’s interoperability efforts for biometrics, security, and privacy.
Mr. Cannon’s technical expertise includes electrical engineering, signal and image processing, pattern recognition, neural networks, biometrics, embedded computer architecture, software architecture, operating system design, virtual machines, communication systems, and security protocols and architectures.
Since December 2006, he has been chairman for U.S. biometric interchange format standards, directing government and commercial standards efforts in the ANSI-INCITS M1 standards body. Mr. Cannon has also been the liaison officer between the international standards organizations for biometrics (JTC1-SC37) and security (JTC1-SC27) since April 2005. During his career, Mr. Cannon has been instrumental in the product development and standardization of paging protocols, PCMCIA and Compact Flash cards, WAP Internet browsers, and Java (J2ME) application platforms for mobile platforms. He has over 40 patents and several papers to his credit.
Mr. Cannon is a graduate of the University of Texas, and earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering at Austin, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Arlington.

Jack Carver - Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Instrument Development
Jack Carver has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Instrument Development since 2005. From 1998 to 2000, he was President of Cross Match.
Mr. Carver is responsible for identifying emerging technologies and overseeing technology development and engineering programs specifically focused on new instrument development.
His technical expertise spans the areas of electronics, optics, electro-optics, manufacturing and business management. He holds many patents in a wide variety of scientific areas including analytical chemistry, optics, electronics and mechanical engineering.
He has more than 50 years of experience in engineering and high-level management positions with advanced technology corporations such as Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, United Technologies and Jupiter Instrument Company, where he was President of this designer and manufacturer of laboratory analytical instruments and ophthalmic surgical instruments.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Miami, and has numerous engineering certifications.

Elaine Dezenski - Senior Vice President, Government Affairs/Business Development
Ms. Dezenski joined Cross Match in September 2006 as Senior Vice President, Global Government Affairs. She was promoted to Senior Vice President Government Affairs/Business Development in January 2008. As head of the Washington, DC office, Ms. Dezenski is a key leader in the company’s efforts to translate government policies and requirements into solutions that advance biometrics as part of a broader, more effective approach to identity management and security. She works closely with customers and government officials to help ensure that Cross Match continues its leadership role in the biometrics industry. Ms. Dezenski also oversees the company’s relationships with the European Union and its constituent members, furthering the company’s role as a global leader in biometrics solutions.
Prior to joining Cross Match, Ms. Dezenski completed nearly four years of service with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, most recently serving as the acting assistant secretary for policy development within the Office of Policy. Ms. Dezenski led policy initiatives in the areas of credentialing, screening, international negotiations with the EU and Canada, and supply chain security. She also advised DHS leadership on transportation security and immigration policy, and routinely testified before Congress on a range of homeland security issues.
Ms. Dezenski also has served as an assistant secretary for policy and planning within the DHS Border and Transportation Security (BTS) Directorate, and as director of maritime, land, and cargo policy at the Transportation Security Administration. Before joining DHS, Ms. Dezenski was special assistant to the administrator of the Federal Transit Administration. She began her career with the Transportation Division of Siemens Corporation where she held management positions in marketing, communications, and federal government affairs.
Ms. Dezenski holds a masters degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelors degree in International Relations from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. Ms. Dezenski currently serves on the National Board of the Women’s Transportation Seminar, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing women in transportation.

William Dumont - Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Mr. Dumont joined Cross Match in November, 2007 as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Salesassuming global responsibility for an international team of sales professionals. He draws upon experience from leading technology companies to define and achieve the company’s sales objectives.
Most recently, Mr. Dumont was president of Chant, Inc., a communications consulting firm. Prior to that, he was the vice president of sales at mobile applications developer Orative, and also served as senior vice president of international sales and operations at Concerto Softwareleading an international organization with offices throughout EMEA, the Asia Pacific rim and Latin America.
Bringing more than three decades of sales and operations experience to Cross Match, Mr. Dumont also held a variety of leadership positions at major technology companies, including Octel Communications, VMX and AT&T. He led multi-million dollar sales organizations at Octel and VMX, which introduced early voicemail and messaging solutions to customers. While at AT&T, he held a variety of senior posts while establishing new sales distribution channels and a consumer sales organization for a first-generation online service called Videotex.
Mr. Dumont received Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and history from Florida State University.

James J. Gilbert - Senior Vice President, Global Software Development
Mr. Gilbert leads a team of world-class engineers, while continuing to define award-winning identity solutions for large- and small-scale implementations. He draws from experience in the public and private sectors to deliver innovative biometric screening and capture systems.
He joined Cross Match in September 2006 as Vice President of Engineering. He was promoted to his current position, Senior Vice President, Global Software Operations, in February 2007, because he was instrumental in developing software that enabled the background check services division to attract key customers for secure biometric data transmission.
A former director of software development, Mr. Gilbert has overseen the merger of several biometric technologies to develop a variety of livescan, mobile, and store and forward solutions for OS/2, Windows, UNIX and Linux. With a wealth of industry knowledge and more than 25 years of software development experience, he has led teams to create fingerprint capture systems for civilian and law enforcement deployments.
Mr. Gilbert received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Iowa State University.

Richard Iderosa - Senior Vice President, Global Operations
Mr. Iderosa is responsible for the worldwide development and manufacture of all Cross Match products. He joined Cross Match in February 2000, was named Director of Operations in 2004, and assumed his current position in 2006.
He possesses more than 25 years of experience in the field of optical instrument design and manufacture for commercial and space applications with companies such as EDO Barnes, Perkin Elmer Space Systems, and Lenzar Electro-Optics. Throughout his career he has been responsible for the management of development engineering, manufacturing, operations, and service functions.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of Glades Area Pantries (GAP), a non-profit organization providing food and counseling services to low income families in Western Palm Beach County.
Mr. Iderosa received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, magna cum laude with distinction, from the University of Connecticut.

Uwe Richter - Senior Vice President, Product Management
Mr. Richter is responsible for all activities surrounding product management of Cross Match products and solutions worldwide.
He joined Cross Match in August 2005 upon Cross Match’s acquisition of Smiths Heimann Biometrics, an acknowledged industry leader, where he was Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to Smiths, Mr. Richter held project and product management positions in predecessor companies. During his 20 years in biometrics, he has gained a wealth of experience in high-performance optics, high-resolution digital imaging, and applications in forensic-quality fingerprint and palm print acquisition for criminal and civil identification.
He was the project leader for the development of the first commercially available and fully certified worldwide palm print scanner, which was used by the National Police Agency of Japan for their nationwide livescan network. Mr. Richter also guided the definition, development and market introduction of the first fully certified 1000 ppi fingerprint and palm print scanner and the first super compact 500 ppi dual use ID-flats and tenprint scanner.
Mr. Richter is a member of TeleTrust e.V., a non-profit organization for the promotion of trustworthiness of information and communication technology in Germany, with a working group in the field of biometrics.
He graduated from the Technical University of Dresden in Germany with a degree in electrical engineering.
