Uwe Richter - Managing Director, Cross Match Technologies GmbH

Uwe Richter is Managing Director of Cross Match’s European subsidiary located in Jena, Germany. He joined the Company in 2005 via the acquisition of Smiths Heimann Biometrics, where he was Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.

Prior to Smiths Heimann, Mr. Richter held various project and product management positions in predecessor companies. He was the project leader for the development of the first commercially available and fully certified palm print scanner, guided the introduction of the first fully certified 1000 ppi fingerprint and palm print scanner, as well as the first super compact 500 ppi dual use ID-flats and ten-print scanner.

Mr. Richter holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Dresden in Germany.
