The MV 5 BCS is a hand-held, single-finger capture unit with built-in barcode scanner that provides on the spot access to crucial identification data in many environments such as building security, traffic stops, crime scenes, border patrol, and military field operations.

The MV 5 BCS provides law enforcement agencies, security-conscious companies, and government agencies with a reliable tool to facilitate the capture of fingerprint and barcode data. This data is then used for immediate verification of an individual’s identity and for submissions to the local, state and/or federal Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS) including the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) 2000.
